History

Keeping in mind the demand of the people of the entire area, there was a demand to open a university here, but as per the orders of the President of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Shri Amritsar Sahib, Sardar Gurcharan Singh Tohra Sahib, the admissions of the above school were started on April 17, 1996 in the office of Gurdwara Shri Katalgarh Sahib Shri Chamkaur Sahib under the supervision of Sardar Sucha Singh Manager. From May 1, 1996, L.K.G. and U.K.G. classes were started in the rooms of the building of Gurdwara Guru Bir Jand Sahib. At that time, the school was running in this building up to the ninth grade. The foundation stone was laid by Sardar Gurcharan Singh Tohra Ji on January 16, 1998. On 11.10.2002, under the patronage of education, the building of Khalsa Public School Bir Guru Jand Sahib was inaugurated by Honorable Kirpal Singh Ji, Badungar President of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee with his own efforts. In the year 2004, 11 rooms were prepared and some classes were shifted from Gurdwara Shri Jand Sahib to this building. The remaining building was prepared from time to time by Baba Harbans Singh Ji, a Kar Sewa worker from Delhi. After that, all classes from nursery to twelth are being held in the newly built building
